In this page we're going to explain a little bit who is the person that admins and spends his time on this blog and we also are going to explain a little bit the design, the colours and the schemes of the site.
- The author of grafakedesign is Iván Torralbo. He's a student of Journalism, not a designer, and he started that project because of the subject of Graphic Design in his university, the Abat Oliba CEU in Barcelona. He's not an expert in infographics at all, and maybe his graphics are not the best of the world, but he's very interested in improve his capacity of creating an easier way to transmit information. In our culture people is getting used to see lots of graphics everywhere, including the newspapers, so Iván, as a future journalist has to know how to connect with his public.
Now, regarding the blog we have to comment another things.
- The colour of the blog was chosen in that way because the green is a light colour. We didn't wanted to use a very dark colour because we thought that it would be harder to read the articles, and even more if we write long articles. The green is a colour that doesn't damage the eyes, it's comfortable and we also liked it.
- We put the white color in the background just for use the black colour in the typography. It wasn't about the classical colour, we used the black because it's very "minimalistic" and also very comfortable. Black over white.
- The structure was that because we thought that if we put one column in each side it would be so condensed, so we let the green colour alone in the left side and in the other one we put the gadgets, like the translate google, that it's very important in a society that doesn't speak lots of idioms.
- The title of the blog is a topic of humour sense. We decided to use that one because it was a funny "word game". Changing the Graphic for Grafake it's not a huge difference in the pronunciation, but it's in the meaning. We chose the word fake because we think that Iván Torralbo is not an actual designer, so he's a faker (not in the bad sense).
